The 2021 vintage stands out for its overall balance and for a regular climatic pattern that favoured slow and progressive ripening of the grapes. Following a typical spring, the summer was warm but well ventilated, without prolonged extremes, allowing the vines to maintain healthy physiological activity and achieve homogeneous ripening.

Rainfall, while not abundant, arrived at the right moments, preventing significant water stress and helping to preserve freshness and fruit integrity. The diurnal temperature variation towards the end of summer played an important role in aromatic development and in maintaining acid balance.

Work in the vineyard followed the estate’s established philosophy, with careful grape selection and a respectful approach to the raw material. Harvest took place at full maturity, aiming to capture a natural balance between structure, freshness and clarity of expression.

The resulting wine shows a harmonious framework, with tannins that are present yet already well composed, vibrant acidity and a clean, well-defined aromatic profile. It is a Sangiovese that clearly expresses the character of the vintage, without extremes, but with great coherence and readability.

The 2021 vintage can therefore be seen as one of synthesis, offering immediate approachability and drinkability, while retaining depth and balance.
